Parole Suitability Hearing Transcripts

Pursuant to Penal Code 3042(b), the Board of Parole Hearings is required to record and transcribe parole suitability or the setting of a parole date for any person sentenced to a life sentence.

In our ongoing efforts to provide efficient customer service to the public the Board will provide free electronic transcripts upon request.

However, if the requesting party is seeking a printed copy to be mailed, a charge of 12 cents per page, plus postage will be incurred. The Board will notify the requesting party of the total number of pages and the cost of postage. Upon receipt of a check or cashier’s check, made payable to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the request will be processed.

If the transcript is on microfilm or microfiche (2001 and earlier), a charge of 12 cents per page will be assessed. If the transcript is sent electronically, a 12 cent per page charge will be incurred, but postage expense will not be assessed. If the microfilm or microfiche transcript is printed and mailed, a charge of 12 cents per page plus postage will be charged. The Board will notify the requesting party of the total number of pages and the cost of postage (if needed). Upon receipt of a check or cashier’s check, made payable to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the request will be processed.
